Petratos Group was founded in 1958. With a focus on superior quality, attention to detail and fine craftsmanship requires the creation and appropriate selection of a rug.

Konstantinos Petratos, carpet expert and founder of the company as well as lover of high aesthetics, dealt meticulously with industrial production and export trade. A curious and innovative mind, traveling and developing relationships with local artisans and making contacts with new designers internationally, he started Oriental Carpets in 1980 – a new member of the family group – which exclusively represents top carpet manufacturers and international carpet brands in Greece.

Oriental Carpets is a progressive company of the time specializing in import and trading of carpets from the East & Asia; the carpet selection in terms of aesthetics as well as quality, always aims to maintain each piece of the collection a timeless art object.

Today, the new generation of the company is led by Apostolos Petratos – son of the founder. Petratos keeps on the family tradition with the same passion, creativity, experience and in-depth expertise in finding rare, classic and modern, handmade carpets. The new Modern Designers series, in collaboration with renowned designers from around the world, adds modern and contemporary references to the collection.

Today, the company imports and is the  exclusive distributor for top international brands such as The Rug Company and Rugstar in Greece.
